Welcome To Our Selection of Holiday Cottages

If you want to have the best cottage holiday possible in Aberdeenshire, we suggest a few key items to take along. Start with something to keep the rain away. You can never really be sure of the weather. An umbrella and a raincoat are a good start!

We always make sure we take a good book. There's always plenty of downtime on a cottage holiday, and so it's a great time to catch up on a read. There are obviously local stores that can supply you with all the food you need, but we always like to arrive with coffee, tea bags, a pint of milk, a bar of chocolate and some bread and butter for the toaster - it's good to get the energy up after a long journey. Many people have favourite places they return to again and again, whereas we like to find new places to stay.

Escape To Aberdeenshire

Throughout the area rates will vary quite a bit throughout the year - clearly the winter is the cheapest time. School holidays tend to be mid-July to the end of August.

The private and state schools tend to have differing half-term dates, but normally the first half of June is summer half-term. Booking early is always a good idea. You have a much better chance of getting your preferred date and accommodation. But, that doesn't mean its impossible to get a late booking.

In recent years there has been an increase in the size of cottage agencies. Generally speaking that means that someone is always checking the quality of Aberdeenshire accommodation, either in person, or based on customer feedback.
