Welcome To Our Selection of Holiday Cottages
To make the best of your trip in Alder Row , we recommend you bring some essential items. Definitely pack some waterproof clothing. There's no such thing as a guarantee against the rain and there's nothing worse than being stuck inside.
If your family and friends are anything like ours, you should have a good book ready to fill those times when everyone's getting ready, or waiting for them to come back from a long walk. Finally you should take a few initial supplies, such as tea, coffee, milk, bread and some cheese. Of course you can usually buy them locally but it's easy to forget and there's nothing better than a cup of tea before you start unpacking. We have stayed in many types of cottage, and we've decided we like both traditional and modern - it just depends on where we're going.
Escape To Alder Row
Throughout the area rates will vary quite a bit throughout the year - clearly the winter is the cheapest time. The summer holiday period (for schools) runs from mid-July through the whole of August.
Summer half-term usually appears in the first couple of weeks in June, although different types of schools have different dates. Although we really encourage you too book your cottage early, there are opportunities for last minute bookings, so it can be worth checking.
Many cottage owners have signed themselves up with national agencies to help with the marketing and administration, which also helps keep standards to a certain level.
