Welcome To Our Selection of Holiday Cottages

If you want to have the best cottage holiday possible in Anstruther, we suggest a few key items to take along. Rainproof clothing and a light umbrella should be the first things to pack. The rain only comes when you are not prepared.

If you have a DVD player in the cottage, definitely take a few great movies. It's so enjoyable to curl up in the evening and watch a classic film. Finally you should take a few initial supplies, such as tea, coffee, milk, bread and some cheese. Of course you can usually buy them locally but it's easy to forget and there's nothing better than a cup of tea before you start unpacking. We find it really hard to decide which type of cottage we like best. Generally we just enjoy going away!

Escape To Anstruther

The rates for Anstruther cottages are highest in the warmer months, generally aligning with the school holidays. Mid-July til the end of August are the core weeks for the Anstruther school summer holidays.

The private and state schools tend to have differing half-term dates, but normally the first half of June is summer half-term. It's becoming less likely to book the best cottages last minute, but by no means impossible. We recommend you give it a try.

Some of the best cottages in the UK are fiercely independent and have incredibly high standards, and more recently the rise of agencies has helped increase standards right across the board.

All About Cottages

Before you book that 16th Century thatched roof cottage with low ceilings, you may want to ask the tallest people in your group/family whether the olde worlds charm outweighs the pain of bumping heads on beams. Do you need twin beds or double beds, can the kids share a room, will your friends all want separate bedrooms?

Dog owners often like to spend their holidays in the UK so that they can take their four legged friends with them. If the description of the Anstruther cottage does not indicate that its pet friendly, please contact the owner before confirming the booking.

Enjoy your holiday, we're syure you deserve it. The world moves so very fast and it's great to take a break.

Cottages For Holidays

For many people the perfect UK holiday is staying in a cottage, and it's clearly an increasing trend. The cost and inconvenience of international travel is unnecessary when we have such excellent things to do in Anstruther.

For families, a cottage holiday can be a wonderful experience - free of the humdrum routine of home life. We already have enough rules and timetables in our lives, and a cottage holiday provides total freedom.

You have all the choice you need; you can order in a takeaway, eat out in a local restaurant or pub, and come and go as you please.
