Please make sure you check that each cottage has the facilities you require before you make your booking. These days you can expect many properties to offer satellite or cable television, and some will offer wi-fi and other high tech options. If you're more interested in escaping the mod cons then you can always turn them off and relax in the lounge or garden of your cottage.

Escape To Basted

The best cottages in the area are spotlessly clean, with great facilities and attentive owners eager to please their guests. Cottages have really improved in the last 10+ years.

Meaning that the days of sub-standard amenities, bedding and even heating are left behind in the 20th Century. As far as we know the cottages in Basted are up to scratch but if something is awry please call the owner/agent.

If you tell them about the problem they may be able to remove it or fix it before the day is over!

All About Cottages

Before you book that 16th Century thatched roof cottage with low ceilings, you may want to ask the tallest people in your group/family whether the olde worlds charm outweighs the pain of bumping heads on beams. If you're travelling to Basted in a group of single people, are there enough beds in the bedrooms?

Dogs need holidays too, so it can be fun to bring your favourite pooch to the Basted cottage. Many places will accept dogs, but it's always a good idea to double check in advance if it's not mentioned on the booking website.

Have a great holiday, wherever you stay. Hopefully it will be in a cottage found through us!

Cottages For Holidays

We think that self-catering is the best way to holiday in Basted . No pressure from the owner to eat meals at specific times, when you are self-catering the food is ready when you want it to be ready.

You can decide what food and drink you want to consume, and you can choose when to sit down and eat it... or even stand up and eat it! Relaxing by the river, reading a great novel, perhaps a pint in the pub - these are some of the favourite ways to enjoy some quiet time in Basted .

For many, however, its a chance to really do something active, from running and mountain biking to swimming and climbing.
