Welcome To Our Selection of Holiday Cottages

While school holidays are a significant factor of cottage price, the percentage increase tends to be very similar for all cottages. It’s important to note that a high price doesn’t always mean that the property is best for you in Bedlington.

We highly recommend that you ensure that the property you're considering has all the features you need. If you're travelling with friends they may have very different expectations compared to staying with your family - such as a nearby pub. However you may not want or need any of the super facilities and be happier with the simple things in life, perhaps a pint of beer in a local pub.

Escape To Bedlington

In Bedlington, high season tends to match the summer school holidays, with mid-season a month either side. July and August are usually Northumberland school summer holidays.

Half term dates are different for different schools, but normally summer half-term is around the first two weeks of June. Last minute bookings are alway possible, though clearly your choices will be fewer. It really is worth booking early.

Cottage agencies are growing in size as a greater number of independents sign up with them. As a consumer this has a positive impact - in theory the facilities and standards are kept to a pre-agreed level.

All About Cottages

Whether you're going away with friends or family to Bedlington, you'll want to consider the type of accommodation you book. If you have young kids in the party you may want to think twice about open fires, and of course some of the oldest cottages may have lower ceilings than those you are used to.

Many Bedlington visitors like to bring their pets (normally dogs) when they go on holiday. We always suggest that you check with the owner if there are no pet details listed. And even if there are, it can be a good idea to let them know so they can put out a bowl of water for your dog's arrival.

We want you to have a great Northumberland holiday so we wish you the best of luck finding your perfect accomodation.

Cottages For Holidays

Without a doubt the cottage holiday is becoming a more popular way to spend free time. The cost and inconvenience of international travel is unnecessary when we have such excellent things to do in Bedlington.

Cottage holidays are the perfect antidote to the tiresome repetition of city or town life. Hotels and B&Bs are great, but they still have long lists of rules that can take the fun out of a holiday.

You don't have to eat at set times with set menus, get out of the room by a certain time or tiptoe around other guests late at night.
