Welcome To Our Selection of Holiday Cottages

While school holidays are a significant factor of cottage price, the percentage increase tends to be very similar for all cottages. The time of year, size and facilities can make a considerable difference, but sometimes you can get more than you need for the same cost.

Please make sure you check that each cottage has the facilities you require before you make your booking. We know that many families with young children like to have access to satellite or free view TV channels such as Cbeebies and the Disney Channel. However you may not want or need any of the super facilities and be happier with the simple things in life, perhaps a pint of beer in a local pub.

Escape To Branxton

Branxton holiday accommodation rates increase in peak season, which is generally around the times of the school summer holidays. School holidays tend to be mid-July to the end of August.

Half term dates are different for different schools, but normally summer half-term is around the first two weeks of June. Although we really encourage you too book your cottage early, there are opportunities for last minute bookings, so it can be worth checking.

Cottage agencies are growing in size as a greater number of independents sign up with them. As a consumer this has a positive impact - in theory the facilities and standards are kept to a pre-agreed level.

All About Cottages

Before you book that 16th Century thatched roof cottage with low ceilings, you may want to ask the tallest people in your group/family whether the olde worlds charm outweighs the pain of bumping heads on beams. Are you looking for a quaint old stone cottage in Branxton with an open fire - or something a little more child friendly with nice warm carpets and central heating?

If you have a dog, you may like to bring him or her to Branxton with you. It's a good idea to ask the owner or agency whether you can take your pet inside the Branxton cottage. And let them know if it's not a dog!

Wherever you stay, whether it's in Branxton or elsewhere, we hope you have a fabulous holiday!

Cottages For Holidays

Self-catering holidays can be the most fun in Branxton. You take away some of the pressure that appears when staying in a hotel or b and b - you must eat your meals at this time, you must order from this menu.

And it also gives the freedom of eating out without needing to reorganise any plans in your accomodation. You don't need to tell anyone, just sit down and order! We know many people who consider a holiday cottage as the perfect way to wind down after a busy urban lifestyle - sleep in, take lazy walks through the countryside and take more time over meals.

For others it's an opportunity to get more active, from mountain biking to cross-country running. If you're over 60, we recommend the more relaxed approach!
