Welcome To Our Selection of Holiday Cottages

To make the best of your trip in CR3, we recommend you bring some essential items. Preparing for a little rain is always a good plan. An umbrella and an anorak or rain coat can get everyone smiling even on the worse days.

If you like watching films and there's a DVD facility in the cottage then it's a good idea to stock up on some good movies so you can spend a couple of nights enjoying the classics. And then we always make sure we have good supplies with us when we arrive so that we can sit down and have a cup of coffee and perhaps a piece of cake before we start that boring unpacking! We're often asked which is the best place to stay, and it's so hard to answer, it really depends what you are looking for.

Escape To CR3

The rates for CR3 cottages are highest in the warmer months, generally aligning with the school holidays. Mid-July til the end of August are the core weeks for the CR3 school summer holidays.

The private and state schools tend to have differing half-term dates, but normally the first half of June is summer half-term. Booking early is always a good idea. You have a much better chance of getting your preferred date and accommodation. But, that doesn't mean its impossible to get a late booking.

Many cottage owners have signed themselves up with national agencies to help with the marketing and administration, which also helps keep standards to a certain level.

All About Cottages

Before you book that 16th Century thatched roof cottage with low ceilings, you may want to ask the tallest people in your group/family whether the olde worlds charm outweighs the pain of bumping heads on beams. Is there agreement on an old fashioned cottage, or should you be looking for something contemporary with all the modern appliances?

If you have a dog, you may like to bring him or her to CR3 with you. We always suggest that you check with the owner if there are no pet details listed. And even if there are, it can be a good idea to let them know so they can put out a bowl of water for your dog's arrival.

We want you to have a great holiday so we wish you the best of luck finding your perfect accomodation.

Cottages For Holidays

For many people the perfect UK holiday is staying in a cottage, and it's clearly an increasing trend. Why travel abroad when there are so many great places to discover at home, staying in a holiday cottage in CR3.

Escaping the inevitably dull (or stressful) daily treadmill is important for everyone. Other types of accommodation are far more rigid, which just doesn't seem so much fun to us.

You don't have to eat at set times with set menus, get out of the room by a certain time or tiptoe around other guests late at night.
