Welcome To Our Selection of Holiday Cottages

The price of a holiday cottage will vary based on size, facilities and time of year - and the demand for the area. The DG1 is becoming increasingly popular so it's a good idea to book early if you can.

By the way, it's always worth checking with your fellow guests to understand what they expect from the cottage. The available amenities across our range of cottages include the basics such as central heating, to the latest technology such as wi-fi internet. But the best things in life are sometimes the opposite; a quiet spot of fishing in a stream, a walk through a delightful wood, or just a good meal.

Escape To DG1

Throughout the area rates will vary quite a bit throughout the year - clearly the winter is the cheapest time. July and August are usually school summer holidays.

If you want to avoid half-term in the summer, draw a line through the first two weeks of June. Although we really encourage you too book your cottage early, there are opportunities for last minute bookings, so it can be worth checking.

In recent years there has been an increase in the size of cottage agencies. Generally speaking that means that someone is always checking the quality of DG1 accommodation, either in person, or based on customer feedback.

All About Cottages

Whether you're going away with friends or family to DG1, you'll want to consider the type of accommodation you book. If you have young kids in the party you may want to think twice about open fires, and of course some of the oldest cottages may have lower ceilings than those you are used to.

Dog owners often like to spend their holidays in the UK so that they can take their four legged friends with them. Not all places will welcome pets so please make sure that it's either clearly marked on the booking website, or if not drop a quick line to the owner to make sure.

Enjoy your holiday, we're syure you deserve it. The world moves so very fast and it's great to take a break.

Cottages For Holidays

We think that self-catering is the best way to holiday in DG1. It's so much more relaxing when you can eat when it suits you - cooking exactly when you want (and whatever you want).

And if you have specific dietary needs, whether that's something relatively common like vegetarianism or a more unusual food allergy, cooking your own food allows you peace of mind. For many people the idea of a DG1 cottage holiday allows them to relax, take long rambling walks and stop off at a country pub for a pint and a ploughman's lunch.

For many, however, its a chance to really do something active, from running and mountain biking to swimming and climbing.
