Welcome To Our Selection of Holiday Cottages

To make the best of your trip in DG13, we recommend you bring some essential items. Preparing for a little rain is always a good plan. An umbrella and an anorak or rain coat can get everyone smiling even on the worse days.

If you have a DVD player in the cottage, definitely take a few great movies. It's so enjoyable to curl up in the evening and watch a classic film. There are obviously local stores that can supply you with all the food you need, but we always like to arrive with coffee, tea bags, a pint of milk, a bar of chocolate and some bread and butter for the toaster - it's good to get the energy up after a long journey. Many people have favourite places they return to again and again, whereas we like to find new places to stay.

Escape To DG13

Although we can't make promises on behalf of the owners and agencies, you can expect the best holiday cottages to be clean, secure and warm. We've noticed a huge improvement in the quality of cottages throughout the UK in the last 10 years.

With very few exceptions there's no longer a chasm between what it says on the cottage website and the cottage itself! Owners and agencies have also become more responsive when there are issues and its best to deal with them as soon as possible.

It may be easy to resolve quickly and without any further inconvenience or confusion.

All About Cottages

Whether you're going away with friends or family to DG13, you'll want to consider the type of accommodation you book. If you have young kids in the party you may want to think twice about open fires, and of course some of the oldest cottages may have lower ceilings than those you are used to.

Dog owners often like to spend their holidays in the UK so that they can take their four legged friends with them. Not all places will welcome pets so please make sure that it's either clearly marked on the booking website, or if not drop a quick line to the owner to make sure.

Don't forget to make the most of your holiday - none of us get enough of them!

Cottages For Holidays

Without a doubt the cottage holiday is becoming a more popular way to spend free time. Why travel abroad when there are so many great places to discover at home, staying in a holiday cottage in DG13.

For families, a cottage holiday can be a wonderful experience - free of the humdrum routine of home life. Hotels and B&Bs are great, but they still have long lists of rules that can take the fun out of a holiday.

Say goodbye to the structure of fixed meal times, the frustrations of noisy room-mates that you don't know and irritating staff!
