Please make sure you check that each cottage has the facilities you require before you make your booking. We know that many families with young children like to have access to satellite or free view TV channels such as Cbeebies and the Disney Channel. Of course many people travel to get away from it all, and just relax quietly with an open fire and a good book.

Escape To Dundraw

Throughout the Cumbria area rates will vary quite a bit throughout the year - clearly the winter is the cheapest time. Mid-July til the end of August are the core weeks for the Dundraw school summer holidays.

Half term in the summer extends across the first half of June, as different schools break up at different times. It's becoming less likely to book the best cottages last minute, but by no means impossible. We recommend you give it a try.

More and more cottages seem to be signing up with agencies to help with their bookings.
