Welcome To Our Selection of Holiday Cottages

If you want to have the best cottage holiday possible in Exted , we suggest a few key items to take along. Definitely pack some waterproof clothing. There's no such thing as a guarantee against the rain and there's nothing worse than being stuck inside.

If you like watching films and there's a DVD facility in the cottage then it's a good idea to stock up on some good movies so you can spend a couple of nights enjoying the classics. And then we always make sure we have good supplies with us when we arrive so that we can sit down and have a cup of coffee and perhaps a piece of cake before we start that boring unpacking! Many people have favourite places they return to again and again, whereas we like to find new places to stay.

Escape To Exted

Exted holiday accommodation rates increase in peak season, which is generally around the times of the school summer holidays. July and August are usually school summer holidays.

The private and state schools tend to have differing half-term dates, but normally the first half of June is summer half-term. It's becoming less likely to book the best cottages last minute, but by no means impossible. We recommend you give it a try.

More and more cottages seem to be signing up with agencies to help with their bookings.

All About Cottages

Before you start to research your holiday accommodation, it's worth asking everyone what they are looking for. Are you looking for a quaint old stone cottage in Exted with an open fire - or something a little more child friendly with nice warm carpets and central heating?

If you have a dog, you may like to bring him or her to Exted with you. Many places will accept dogs, but it's always a good idea to double check in advance if it's not mentioned on the booking website.

Wherever you stay, whether it's in Exted or elsewhere, we hope you have a fabulous holiday!

Cottages For Holidays

We think that self-catering is the best way to holiday in Exted . We like the freedom of eating meals when we want. There's something wrong with taking a holiday and then finding out that you have to get up early or you miss the breakfast you've paid for.

And if you have specific dietary needs, whether that's something relatively common like vegetarianism or a more unusual food allergy, cooking your own food allows you peace of mind. Waking up without the alarm, cooking a nice hearty breakfast, perhaps sitting by the river for a spot of fishing or just reading a book.

But you may want to get out and burn some energy on bikes, climb a hill or mountain, or even try canoeing. Whatever you choose, please take the right clothing and equipment with you.
