Many of our cottages are extremely reasonable in price, based on their size, facilities and season. Always remember that the best cottages are not necessarily the most expensive!
By the way, it's always worth checking with your fellow guests to understand what they expect from the cottage. If you're travelling with friends they may have very different expectations compared to staying with your family - such as a nearby pub. If you're more interested in escaping the mod cons then you can always turn them off and relax in the lounge or garden of your cottage.

Throughout the area rates will vary quite a bit throughout the year - clearly the winter is the cheapest time. Mid-July til the end of August are the core weeks for the Friningham
school summer holidays.
The private and state schools tend to have differing half-term dates, but normally the first half of June is summer half-term. It's recommended to make an early booking to ensure your date, especially during high season, but it's not impossible to find a last minute opportunity.
