Welcome To Our Selection of Holiday Cottages

Whatever time you go to G1, we'd like to suggest some things to take to improve your stay. Rainproof clothing and a light umbrella should be the first things to pack. The rain only comes when you are not prepared.

If you have a DVD player in the cottage, definitely take a few great movies. It's so enjoyable to curl up in the evening and watch a classic film. Finally you should take a few initial supplies, such as tea, coffee, milk, bread and some cheese. Of course you can usually buy them locally but it's easy to forget and there's nothing better than a cup of tea before you start unpacking. Many people have favourite places they return to again and again, whereas we like to find new places to stay.

Escape To G1

In G1, high season tends to match the summer school holidays, with mid-season a month either side. Mid-July til the end of August are the core weeks for the G1 school summer holidays.

Half term dates are different for different schools, but normally summer half-term is around the first two weeks of June. Last minute bookings are alway possible, though clearly your choices will be fewer. It really is worth booking early.

Some of the best cottages in the UK are fiercely independent and have incredibly high standards, and more recently the rise of agencies has helped increase standards right across the board.

All About Cottages

Whether you're going away with friends or family to G1, you'll want to consider the type of accommodation you book. If you're travelling to G1 in a group of single people, are there enough beds in the bedrooms?

Dogs need holidays too, so it can be fun to bring your favourite pooch to the G1 cottage. If the description of the G1 cottage does not indicate that its pet friendly, please contact the owner before confirming the booking.

Have a great holiday, wherever you stay. Hopefully it will be in a cottage found through us!

Cottages For Holidays

Holiday cottages are swiftly becoming one of the most enjoyable ways to spend a week's holiday in the UK. The cost and inconvenience of international travel is unnecessary when we have such excellent things to do in G1.

For families, a cottage holiday can be a wonderful experience - free of the humdrum routine of home life. Other types of accommodation are far more rigid, which just doesn't seem so much fun to us.

Say goodbye to the structure of fixed meal times, the frustrations of noisy room-mates that you don't know and irritating staff!
