Welcome To Our Selection of Holiday Cottages

Whenever you're travelling to Glossop, there are a few things you should always take with you. Definitely pack some waterproof clothing. There's no such thing as a guarantee against the rain and there's nothing worse than being stuck inside.

We always make sure we take a good book. There's always plenty of downtime on a cottage holiday, and so it's a great time to catch up on a read. And then we always make sure we have good supplies with us when we arrive so that we can sit down and have a cup of coffee and perhaps a piece of cake before we start that boring unpacking! We have stayed in many types of cottage, and we've decided we like both traditional and modern - it just depends on where we're going.

Escape To Glossop

Cottage prices in Glossop will range from high to low throughout the year, but clearly the summer months will be the most expensive as remand increases. School holidays tend to be mid-July to the end of August.

Summer half-term usually appears in the first couple of weeks in June, although different types of schools have different dates. It's recommended to make an early booking to ensure your date, especially during high season, but it's not impossible to find a last minute opportunity.

More and more cottages seem to be signing up with agencies to help with their bookings.

All About Cottages

When you choose your Glossop accommodation its worth bearing in mind the group of people staying with you. If you have young kids in the party you may want to think twice about open fires, and of course some of the oldest cottages may have lower ceilings than those you are used to.

Dog owners often like to spend their holidays in the UK so that they can take their four legged friends with them. Not all places will welcome pets so please make sure that it's either clearly marked on the booking website, or if not drop a quick line to the owner to make sure.

Have a great holiday, wherever you stay. Hopefully it will be in a Derbyshire cottage found through us!

Cottages For Holidays

The rise in popularity of holiday cottages is clear - more and more people are choosing to spend their holidays in the UK. It just seems a little pointless to fly half way around the world when there are so many great places to see in Glossop.

Getting away from the boring day to day life at home can be fantastic for families or friends alike. Hotels and B&Bs are great, but they still have long lists of rules that can take the fun out of a holiday.

No need to vacate your room when you want to be having a lie in, no need to feel bad about eating at a restaurant when you've already paid for your hotel meal.
