Welcome To Our Selection of Holiday Cottages

If you want to have the best cottage holiday possible in Holt, we suggest a few key items to take along. Rainproof clothing and a light umbrella should be the first things to pack. The rain only comes when you are not prepared.

If your family and friends are anything like ours, you should have a good book ready to fill those times when everyone's getting ready, or waiting for them to come back from a long walk. Although you can buy your essential food and drink items locally, it's great to have them with you so you can make a sandwich or a cup of coffee as soon as you arrive. Many people have favourite places they return to again and again, whereas we like to find new places to stay.

Escape To Holt

Throughout the Norfolk area rates will vary quite a bit throughout the year - clearly the winter is the cheapest time. The summer holiday period (for schools) runs from mid-July through the whole of August.

If you want to avoid half-term in the summer, draw a line through the first two weeks of June. Although we really encourage you too book your cottage early, there are opportunities for last minute bookings, so it can be worth checking.

More and more cottages seem to be signing up with agencies to help with their bookings.

All About Cottages

Before you start to research your holiday accommodation, it's worth asking everyone what they are looking for. Is there agreement on an old fashioned cottage, or should you be looking for something contemporary with all the modern appliances?

If you have a dog, you may like to bring him or her to Holt with you. If the description of the Holt cottage does not indicate that its pet friendly, please contact the owner before confirming the booking.

We want you to have a great Norfolk holiday so we wish you the best of luck finding your perfect accomodation.

Cottages For Holidays

There are many benefits to a self-catering holiday in Holt. We like the freedom of eating meals when we want. There's something wrong with taking a holiday and then finding out that you have to get up early or you miss the breakfast you've paid for.

You can decide what food and drink you want to consume, and you can choose when to sit down and eat it... or even stand up and eat it! We know many people who consider a holiday cottage as the perfect way to wind down after a busy urban lifestyle - sleep in, take lazy walks through the countryside and take more time over meals.

For others it's an opportunity to get more active, from mountain biking to cross-country running. If you're over 60, we recommend the more relaxed approach!
