If you have a DVD player in the Argyll and Bute cottage, definitely take a few great movies. It's so enjoyable to curl up in the evening and watch a classic film. Finally you should take a few initial supplies, such as tea, coffee, milk, bread and some cheese. Of course you can usually buy them locally but it's easy to forget and there's nothing better than a cup of tea before you start unpacking. We love finding great new cottages, part of the fun of a holiday is not quite knowing where you're going!

Escape To Inveraray

The rates for Inveraray cottages are highest in the warmer months, generally aligning with the school holidays. July and August are usually Argyll and Bute school summer holidays.

The private and state schools tend to have differing half-term dates, but normally the first half of June is summer half-term. Although we really encourage you too book your cottage early, there are opportunities for last minute bookings, so it can be worth checking.

Many cottage owners have signed themselves up with national agencies to help with the marketing and administration, which also helps keep standards to a certain level.

All About Cottages

When you choose your Inveraray accommodation its worth bearing in mind the group of people staying with you. Are you looking for a quaint old stone cottage in Inveraray with an open fire - or something a little more child friendly with nice warm carpets and central heating?

If you have a dog, you may like to bring him or her to Inveraray with you. It's a good idea to ask the owner or agency whether you can take your pet inside the Inveraray cottage. And let them know if it's not a dog!

Enjoy your holiday, we're syure you deserve it. The world moves so very fast and it's great to take a break.

Cottages For Holidays

There's no doubt that more and more people are staying in cottages. Why travel abroad when there are so many great places to discover at home, staying in a holiday cottage in Inveraray.

For families, a cottage holiday can be a wonderful experience - free of the humdrum routine of home life. Hotels and B&Bs are great, but they still have long lists of rules that can take the fun out of a holiday.

Say goodbye to the structure of fixed meal times, the frustrations of noisy room-mates that you don't know and irritating staff!
