Welcome To Our Selection of Holiday Cottages

In MK14, whatever time of year, and whoever you are with, we have a few suggestions for essentials to take along. Start with something to keep the rain away. You can never really be sure of the weather. An umbrella and a raincoat are a good start!

If you have a DVD player in the cottage, definitely take a few great movies. It's so enjoyable to curl up in the evening and watch a classic film. Lastly we think turning up with a few things to eat and drink is a good start to your holiday - there's nothing worse than grumpy kids or friends when its time to unpack, and a little chocolate or a cup of coffee can work wonders. We're often asked which is the best place to stay, and it's so hard to answer, it really depends what you are looking for.

Escape To MK14

In MK14, high season tends to match the summer school holidays, with mid-season a month either side. The school summer holidays generally run from the middle of July to late August.

If you want to avoid half-term in the summer, draw a line through the first two weeks of June. Although we really encourage you too book your cottage early, there are opportunities for last minute bookings, so it can be worth checking.

Many cottage owners have signed themselves up with national agencies to help with the marketing and administration, which also helps keep standards to a certain level.

All About Cottages

Before you book that 16th Century thatched roof cottage with low ceilings, you may want to ask the tallest people in your group/family whether the olde worlds charm outweighs the pain of bumping heads on beams. If you have young kids in the party you may want to think twice about open fires, and of course some of the oldest cottages may have lower ceilings than those you are used to.

Dogs need holidays too, so it can be fun to bring your favourite pooch to the MK14 cottage. It's a good idea to ask the owner or agency whether you can take your pet inside the MK14 cottage. And let them know if it's not a dog!

Wherever you stay, whether it's in MK14 or elsewhere, we hope you have a fabulous holiday!

Cottages For Holidays

There's no doubt that more and more people are staying in cottages. The cost and inconvenience of international travel is unnecessary when we have such excellent things to do in MK14.

Getting away from the boring day to day life at home can be fantastic for families or friends alike. We already have enough rules and timetables in our lives, and a cottage holiday provides total freedom.

You have all the choice you need; you can order in a takeaway, eat out in a local restaurant or pub, and come and go as you please.
