Welcome To Our Selection of Holiday Cottages

Whenever you're travelling to Morland , there are a few things you should always take with you. Preparing for a little rain is always a good plan. An umbrella and an anorak or rain coat can get everyone smiling even on the worse days.

We always make sure we take a good book. There's always plenty of downtime on a cottage holiday, and so it's a great time to catch up on a read. Lastly we think turning up with a few things to eat and drink is a good start to your holiday - there's nothing worse than grumpy kids or friends when its time to unpack, and a little chocolate or a cup of coffee can work wonders. We have stayed in many types of cottage, and we've decided we like both traditional and modern - it just depends on where we're going.

Escape To Morland

Morland holiday accommodation rates increase in peak season, which is generally around the times of the school summer holidays. The summer holiday period (for schools) runs from mid-July through the whole of August.

Summer half-term usually appears in the first couple of weeks in June, although different types of schools have different dates. Last minute bookings are alway possible, though clearly your choices will be fewer. It really is worth booking early.

Some of the best cottages in the UK are fiercely independent and have incredibly high standards, and more recently the rise of agencies has helped increase standards right across the board.

All About Cottages

Before you book that 16th Century thatched roof cottage with low ceilings, you may want to ask the tallest people in your group/family whether the olde worlds charm outweighs the pain of bumping heads on beams. Are you looking for a quaint old stone cottage in Morland with an open fire - or something a little more child friendly with nice warm carpets and central heating?

Dogs need holidays too, so it can be fun to bring your favourite pooch to the Morland cottage. It's a good idea to ask the owner or agency whether you can take your pet inside the Morland cottage. And let them know if it's not a dog!

Wherever you stay, whether it's in Morland or elsewhere, we hope you have a fabulous holiday!

Cottages For Holidays

We think that self-catering is the best way to holiday in Morland . No pressure from the owner to eat meals at specific times, when you are self-catering the food is ready when you want it to be ready.

And if you have specific dietary needs, whether that's something relatively common like vegetarianism or a more unusual food allergy, cooking your own food allows you peace of mind. A large number of our visitors like to use their stay as an opportunity to just put their feet up, gaze at the scenery, take an afternoon nap, and enjoy a nice home cooked meal. Just taking it easy in Morland .

For many, however, its a chance to really do something active, from running and mountain biking to swimming and climbing.
