Welcome To Our Selection of Holiday Cottages

If you want to have the best cottage holiday possible in NE23, we suggest a few key items to take along. Definitely pack some waterproof clothing. There's no such thing as a guarantee against the rain and there's nothing worse than being stuck inside.

If you have a DVD player in the cottage, definitely take a few great movies. It's so enjoyable to curl up in the evening and watch a classic film. Although you can buy your essential food and drink items locally, it's great to have them with you so you can make a sandwich or a cup of coffee as soon as you arrive. We love finding great new cottages, part of the fun of a holiday is not quite knowing where you're going!

Escape To NE23

NE23 holiday accommodation rates increase in peak season, which is generally around the times of the school summer holidays. The school summer holidays generally run from the middle of July to late August.

Half term dates are different for different schools, but normally summer half-term is around the first two weeks of June. It's becoming less likely to book the best cottages last minute, but by no means impossible. We recommend you give it a try.

In recent years there has been an increase in the size of cottage agencies. Generally speaking that means that someone is always checking the quality of NE23 accommodation, either in person, or based on customer feedback.

All About Cottages

Before you book that 16th Century thatched roof cottage with low ceilings, you may want to ask the tallest people in your group/family whether the olde worlds charm outweighs the pain of bumping heads on beams. If you have young kids in the party you may want to think twice about open fires, and of course some of the oldest cottages may have lower ceilings than those you are used to.

Many NE23 visitors like to bring their pets (normally dogs) when they go on holiday. Many places will accept dogs, but it's always a good idea to double check in advance if it's not mentioned on the booking website.

Have a great holiday, wherever you stay. Hopefully it will be in a cottage found through us!

Cottages For Holidays

For many people the perfect UK holiday is staying in a cottage, and it's clearly an increasing trend. It just seems a little pointless to fly half way around the world when there are so many great places to see in NE23.

For friends, families or couples a holiday can be a valuable break from the daily grind. Other types of accommodation are far more rigid, which just doesn't seem so much fun to us.

You can do what you want, when you want to do it - and that's just a such a breath of fresh air when you are on a week's escape!
