Welcome To Our Selection of Holiday Cottages

Whenever you're travelling to Oldham, there are a few things you should always take with you. Start with something to keep the rain away. You can never really be sure of the weather. An umbrella and a raincoat are a good start!

If your family and friends are anything like ours, you should have a good book ready to fill those times when everyone's getting ready, or waiting for them to come back from a long walk. And then we always make sure we have good supplies with us when we arrive so that we can sit down and have a cup of coffee and perhaps a piece of cake before we start that boring unpacking! We're often asked which is the best place to stay, and it's so hard to answer, it really depends what you are looking for.

Escape To Oldham

The best cottages in the area are spotlessly clean, with great facilities and attentive owners eager to please their guests. Cottages have really improved in the last 10+ years.

No longer do you have to worry whether the property will be clean and tidy, and with the same amenities as advertised. We absolutely recommend you contact the owner or the agent if something is missing, broken, or simply not as advertised.

Its always better to get things addressed early on so that they don't bug you for the whole holiday.

All About Cottages

Before you book that 16th Century thatched roof cottage with low ceilings, you may want to ask the tallest people in your group/family whether the olde worlds charm outweighs the pain of bumping heads on beams. Are you looking for a quaint old stone cottage in Oldham with an open fire - or something a little more child friendly with nice warm carpets and central heating?

Many Oldham visitors like to bring their pets (normally dogs) when they go on holiday. It's a good idea to ask the owner or agency whether you can take your pet inside the Oldham cottage. And let them know if it's not a dog!

Wherever you stay, whether it's in Oldham or elsewhere, we hope you have a fabulous holiday!

Cottages For Holidays

Without a doubt the cottage holiday is becoming a more popular way to spend free time. It just seems a little pointless to fly half way around the world when there are so many great places to see in Oldham.

Cottage holidays are the perfect antidote to the tiresome repetition of city or town life. Other types of accommodation are far more rigid, which just doesn't seem so much fun to us.

You can do what you want, when you want to do it - and that's just a such a breath of fresh air when you are on a week's escape!
