Welcome To Our Selection of Holiday Cottages
Whatever time you go to PL7, we'd like to suggest some things to take to improve your stay. You can never be sure of the weather, so take something to protect you from the rain - ideally something that can be packed in a rucksack just in case.
If you like watching films and there's a DVD facility in the cottage then it's a good idea to stock up on some good movies so you can spend a couple of nights enjoying the classics. Finally you should take a few initial supplies, such as tea, coffee, milk, bread and some cheese. Of course you can usually buy them locally but it's easy to forget and there's nothing better than a cup of tea before you start unpacking. We find it really hard to decide which type of cottage we like best. Generally we just enjoy going away!
Escape To PL7
Throughout the area rates will vary quite a bit throughout the year - clearly the winter is the cheapest time. School holidays tend to be mid-July to the end of August.
If you want to avoid half-term in the summer, draw a line through the first two weeks of June. Booking early is always a good idea. You have a much better chance of getting your preferred date and accommodation. But, that doesn't mean its impossible to get a late booking.
In recent years there has been an increase in the size of cottage agencies. Generally speaking that means that someone is always checking the quality of PL7 accommodation, either in person, or based on customer feedback.
All About Cottages
Whether you're going away with friends or family to PL7, you'll want to consider the type of accommodation you book. If you're travelling to PL7 in a group of single people, are there enough beds in the bedrooms?
Dogs need holidays too, so it can be fun to bring your favourite pooch to the PL7 cottage. We always suggest that you check with the owner if there are no pet details listed. And even if there are, it can be a good idea to let them know so they can put out a bowl of water for your dog's arrival.
Have a great holiday, wherever you stay. Hopefully it will be in a cottage found through us!
Cottages For Holidays
Self-catering holidays can be the most fun in PL7. No pressure from the owner to eat meals at specific times, when you are self-catering the food is ready when you want it to be ready.
And if you have specific dietary needs, whether that's something relatively common like vegetarianism or a more unusual food allergy, cooking your own food allows you peace of mind. Waking up without the alarm, cooking a nice hearty breakfast, perhaps sitting by the river for a spot of fishing or just reading a book.
For others it's an opportunity to get more active, from mountain biking to cross-country running. If you're over 60, we recommend the more relaxed approach!
