Welcome To Our Selection of Holiday Cottages

Whenever you're travelling to PR1, there are a few things you should always take with you. You can never be sure of the weather, so take something to protect you from the rain - ideally something that can be packed in a rucksack just in case.

If your family and friends are anything like ours, you should have a good book ready to fill those times when everyone's getting ready, or waiting for them to come back from a long walk. Lastly we think turning up with a few things to eat and drink is a good start to your holiday - there's nothing worse than grumpy kids or friends when its time to unpack, and a little chocolate or a cup of coffee can work wonders. We have stayed in many types of cottage, and we've decided we like both traditional and modern - it just depends on where we're going.

Escape To PR1

In PR1, high season tends to match the summer school holidays, with mid-season a month either side. The school summer holidays generally run from the middle of July to late August.

If you want to avoid half-term in the summer, draw a line through the first two weeks of June. Last minute bookings are alway possible, though clearly your choices will be fewer. It really is worth booking early.

Many cottage owners have signed themselves up with national agencies to help with the marketing and administration, which also helps keep standards to a certain level.

Cottages For Holidays

There's no doubt that more and more people are staying in cottages. The cost and inconvenience of international travel is unnecessary when we have such excellent things to do in PR1.

For families, a cottage holiday can be a wonderful experience - free of the humdrum routine of home life. Other types of accommodation are far more rigid, which just doesn't seem so much fun to us.

Say goodbye to the structure of fixed meal times, the frustrations of noisy room-mates that you don't know and irritating staff!
