Welcome To Our Selection of Holiday Cottages

Whatever time you go to RG2, we'd like to suggest some things to take to improve your stay. Definitely pack some waterproof clothing. There's no such thing as a guarantee against the rain and there's nothing worse than being stuck inside.

If you have a DVD player in the cottage, definitely take a few great movies. It's so enjoyable to curl up in the evening and watch a classic film. Finally you should take a few initial supplies, such as tea, coffee, milk, bread and some cheese. Of course you can usually buy them locally but it's easy to forget and there's nothing better than a cup of tea before you start unpacking. We're often asked which is the best place to stay, and it's so hard to answer, it really depends what you are looking for.

Escape To RG2

RG2 holiday accommodation rates increase in peak season, which is generally around the times of the school summer holidays. School holidays tend to be mid-July to the end of August.

Half term in the summer extends across the first half of June, as different schools break up at different times. Although we really encourage you too book your cottage early, there are opportunities for last minute bookings, so it can be worth checking.

In recent years there has been an increase in the size of cottage agencies. Generally speaking that means that someone is always checking the quality of RG2 accommodation, either in person, or based on customer feedback.

All About Cottages

Whether you're going away with friends or family to RG2, you'll want to consider the type of accommodation you book. If you have young kids in the party you may want to think twice about open fires, and of course some of the oldest cottages may have lower ceilings than those you are used to.

Dog owners often like to spend their holidays in the UK so that they can take their four legged friends with them. It's a good idea to ask the owner or agency whether you can take your pet inside the RG2 cottage. And let them know if it's not a dog!

Don't forget to make the most of your holiday - none of us get enough of them!

Cottages For Holidays

There's no doubt that more and more people are staying in cottages. It just seems a little pointless to fly half way around the world when there are so many great places to see in RG2.

Escaping the inevitably dull (or stressful) daily treadmill is important for everyone. Other types of accommodation are far more rigid, which just doesn't seem so much fun to us.

You don't have to eat at set times with set menus, get out of the room by a certain time or tiptoe around other guests late at night.
