Welcome To Our Selection of Holiday Cottages

While school holidays are a significant factor of cottage price, the percentage increase tends to be very similar for all cottages. It’s important to note that a high price doesn’t always mean that the property is best for you in SR8.

We highly recommend that you ensure that the property you're considering has all the features you need. These days you can expect many properties to offer satellite or cable television, and some will offer wi-fi and other high tech options. However you may not want or need any of the super facilities and be happier with the simple things in life, perhaps a pint of beer in a local pub.

Escape To SR8

SR8 holiday accommodation rates increase in peak season, which is generally around the times of the school summer holidays. Mid-July til the end of August are the core weeks for the SR8 school summer holidays.

Half term dates are different for different schools, but normally summer half-term is around the first two weeks of June. It's becoming less likely to book the best cottages last minute, but by no means impossible. We recommend you give it a try.

More and more cottages seem to be signing up with agencies to help with their bookings.

All About Cottages

Whether you're going away with friends or family to SR8, you'll want to consider the type of accommodation you book. Do you need twin beds or double beds, can the kids share a room, will your friends all want separate bedrooms?

Dogs need holidays too, so it can be fun to bring your favourite pooch to the SR8 cottage. Not all places will welcome pets so please make sure that it's either clearly marked on the booking website, or if not drop a quick line to the owner to make sure.

Have a great holiday, wherever you stay. Hopefully it will be in a cottage found through us!

Cottages For Holidays

Self-catering holidays can be the most fun in SR8. We like the freedom of eating meals when we want. There's something wrong with taking a holiday and then finding out that you have to get up early or you miss the breakfast you've paid for.

Of course it also means that you can skip a meal in the accommodation and just eat out - perhaps grab some fish and chips, or maybe a pizza or burger. Relaxing by the river, reading a great novel, perhaps a pint in the pub - these are some of the favourite ways to enjoy some quiet time in SR8.

For many, however, its a chance to really do something active, from running and mountain biking to swimming and climbing.
