Welcome To Our Selection of Holiday Cottages

If you want to have the best cottage holiday possible in Sandringham, we suggest a few key items to take along. Start with something to keep the rain away. You can never really be sure of the weather. An umbrella and a raincoat are a good start!

We think a good book is another essential. Not just an opportunity to catch up on your reading, but also to pass the time waiting for everyone else to get themselves ready, or wait out the rain! And then we always make sure we have good supplies with us when we arrive so that we can sit down and have a cup of coffee and perhaps a piece of cake before we start that boring unpacking! We love finding great new cottages, part of the fun of a holiday is not quite knowing where you're going!

Escape To Sandringham

The best holiday cottages in Sandringham are clean, charming and warm - some might say as nice as staying home. The rise of cottage agencies has had a significant impact (in a good way) on the quality of places to stay.

With very few exceptions there's no longer a chasm between what it says on the cottage website and the cottage itself! If you do discover that your Sandringham holiday cottage is not up to the standards you expect, immediately contact the agency or owner.

If you tell them about the problem they may be able to remove it or fix it before the day is over!

All About Cottages

Before you book that 16th Century thatched roof cottage with low ceilings, you may want to ask the tallest people in your group/family whether the olde worlds charm outweighs the pain of bumping heads on beams. If you have young kids in the party you may want to think twice about open fires, and of course some of the oldest cottages may have lower ceilings than those you are used to.

Most dog owners like to take their four legged friends away with them on trips to Sandringham. Not all places will welcome pets so please make sure that it's either clearly marked on the booking website, or if not drop a quick line to the owner to make sure.

Don't forget to make the most of your Norfolk holiday - none of us get enough of them!

Cottages For Holidays

Self-catering always makes your holiday more relaxing in Sandringham. It's so much more relaxing when you can eat when it suits you - cooking exactly when you want (and whatever you want).

And if you have specific dietary needs, whether that's something relatively common like vegetarianism or a more unusual food allergy, cooking your own food allows you peace of mind. For many people the idea of a Sandringham cottage holiday allows them to relax, take long rambling walks and stop off at a country pub for a pint and a ploughman's lunch.

On the other hand, there's a growing proportion of visitors who use their time away from home to get fitter and try new things - such as mountain biking, horse riding or canoeing.
