Please make sure you check that each cottage has the facilities you require before you make your booking. If you're travelling with friends they may have very different expectations compared to staying with your family - such as a nearby pub. Of course many people travel to get away from it all, and just relax quietly with an open fire and a good book.

Escape To Seaham

The best cottages in in Seaham are representative of the good standards you'll find across the UK. Cottages have really improved in the last 10+ years.

Meaning that the days of sub-standard amenities, bedding and even heating are left behind in the 20th Century. We absolutely recommend you contact the owner or the agent if something is missing, broken, or simply not as advertised.

Its always better to get things addressed early on so that they don't bug you for the whole holiday.

All About Cottages

Before you book that 16th Century thatched roof cottage with low ceilings, you may want to ask the tallest people in your group/family whether the olde worlds charm outweighs the pain of bumping heads on beams. Do you need twin beds or double beds, can the kids share a room, will your friends all want separate bedrooms?

Most dog owners like to take their four legged friends away with them on trips to Seaham. Not all places will welcome pets so please make sure that it's either clearly marked on the booking website, or if not drop a quick line to the owner to make sure.

Wherever you stay, whether it's in Seaham or elsewhere, we hope you have a fabulous holiday!

Cottages For Holidays

Self-catering holidays can be the most fun in Seaham. No worrying about getting to the dining room in time, either before the hotel declares that breakfast is over, or trying to fit in with other b and b guests.

You can decide what food and drink you want to consume, and you can choose when to sit down and eat it... or even stand up and eat it! Waking up without the alarm, cooking a nice hearty breakfast, perhaps sitting by the river for a spot of fishing or just reading a book.

But you may want to get out and burn some energy on bikes, climb a hill or mountain, or even try canoeing. Whatever you choose, please take the right clothing and equipment with you.
