Welcome To Our Selection of Holiday Cottages

Many of our cottages are extremely reasonable in price, based on their size, facilities and season. It’s important to note that a high price doesn’t always mean that the property is best for you in Sherborne.

By the way, it's always worth checking with your fellow guests to understand what they expect from the cottage. Families often need more amenities than couples as the need to keep the kids entertained, fed and quiet often requires a little technological helping hand. If you're more interested in escaping the mod cons then you can always turn them off and relax in the lounge or garden of your cottage.

Escape To Sherborne

The best holiday cottages in Sherborne are clean, charming and warm - some might say as nice as staying home. The rise of cottage agencies has had a significant impact (in a good way) on the quality of places to stay.

Meaning that the days of sub-standard amenities, bedding and even heating are left behind in the 20th Century. There will always be occasions where something isn't quite right and we encourage you to contact the owner or agency so it can be resolved quickly.

You might be surprised how quickly it can be sorted out if you just let them know.

All About Cottages

Before you book that 16th Century thatched roof cottage with low ceilings, you may want to ask the tallest people in your group/family whether the olde worlds charm outweighs the pain of bumping heads on beams. If you have young kids in the party you may want to think twice about open fires, and of course some of the oldest cottages may have lower ceilings than those you are used to.

If you have a dog, you may like to bring him or her to Sherborne with you. It's a good idea to ask the owner or agency whether you can take your pet inside the Sherborne cottage. And let them know if it's not a dog!

We want you to have a great Dorset holiday so we wish you the best of luck finding your perfect accomodation.

Cottages For Holidays

We think that self-catering is the best way to holiday in Sherborne. It's so much more relaxing when you can eat when it suits you - cooking exactly when you want (and whatever you want).

You can decide what food and drink you want to consume, and you can choose when to sit down and eat it... or even stand up and eat it! A large number of our visitors like to use their stay as an opportunity to just put their feet up, gaze at the scenery, take an afternoon nap, and enjoy a nice home cooked meal. Just taking it easy in Sherborne.

On the other hand, there's a growing proportion of visitors who use their time away from home to get fitter and try new things - such as mountain biking, horse riding or canoeing.
