Welcome To Our Selection of Holiday Cottages

Whenever you're travelling to Slade , there are a few things you should always take with you. You can never be sure of the weather, so take something to protect you from the rain - ideally something that can be packed in a rucksack just in case.

If you like watching films and there's a DVD facility in the cottage then it's a good idea to stock up on some good movies so you can spend a couple of nights enjoying the classics. There are obviously local stores that can supply you with all the food you need, but we always like to arrive with coffee, tea bags, a pint of milk, a bar of chocolate and some bread and butter for the toaster - it's good to get the energy up after a long journey. We have stayed in many types of cottage, and we've decided we like both traditional and modern - it just depends on where we're going.

Escape To Slade

Cottage prices in Slade will range from high to low throughout the year, but clearly the summer months will be the most expensive as remand increases. July and August are usually school summer holidays.

If you want to avoid half-term in the summer, draw a line through the first two weeks of June. It's recommended to make an early booking to ensure your date, especially during high season, but it's not impossible to find a last minute opportunity.

Many cottage owners have signed themselves up with national agencies to help with the marketing and administration, which also helps keep standards to a certain level.

All About Cottages

When you choose your Slade accommodation its worth bearing in mind the group of people staying with you. Are you looking for a quaint old stone cottage in Slade with an open fire - or something a little more child friendly with nice warm carpets and central heating?

Many Slade visitors like to bring their pets (normally dogs) when they go on holiday. It's a good idea to ask the owner or agency whether you can take your pet inside the Slade cottage. And let them know if it's not a dog!

Wherever you stay, whether it's in Slade or elsewhere, we hope you have a fabulous holiday!

Cottages For Holidays

We think that self-catering is the best way to holiday in Slade . We like the freedom of eating meals when we want. There's something wrong with taking a holiday and then finding out that you have to get up early or you miss the breakfast you've paid for.

And it also gives the freedom of eating out without needing to reorganise any plans in your accomodation. You don't need to tell anyone, just sit down and order! We know many people who consider a holiday cottage as the perfect way to wind down after a busy urban lifestyle - sleep in, take lazy walks through the countryside and take more time over meals.

But you may want to get out and burn some energy on bikes, climb a hill or mountain, or even try canoeing. Whatever you choose, please take the right clothing and equipment with you.
