Welcome To Our Selection of Holiday Cottages

In The Ings , whatever time of year, and whoever you are with, we have a few suggestions for essentials to take along. Preparing for a little rain is always a good plan. An umbrella and an anorak or rain coat can get everyone smiling even on the worse days.

We think a good book is another essential. Not just an opportunity to catch up on your reading, but also to pass the time waiting for everyone else to get themselves ready, or wait out the rain! And then we always make sure we have good supplies with us when we arrive so that we can sit down and have a cup of coffee and perhaps a piece of cake before we start that boring unpacking! We love finding great new cottages, part of the fun of a holiday is not quite knowing where you're going!

Escape To The Ings

Throughout the area rates will vary quite a bit throughout the year - clearly the winter is the cheapest time. July and August are usually school summer holidays.

Summer half-term usually appears in the first couple of weeks in June, although different types of schools have different dates. It's recommended to make an early booking to ensure your date, especially during high season, but it's not impossible to find a last minute opportunity.

More and more cottages seem to be signing up with agencies to help with their bookings.

All About Cottages

Whether you're going away with friends or family to The Ings , you'll want to consider the type of accommodation you book. Are you looking for a quaint old stone cottage in The Ings with an open fire - or something a little more child friendly with nice warm carpets and central heating?

Many The Ings visitors like to bring their pets (normally dogs) when they go on holiday. Many places will accept dogs, but it's always a good idea to double check in advance if it's not mentioned on the booking website.

Don't forget to make the most of your holiday - none of us get enough of them!

Cottages For Holidays

There's no doubt that more and more people are staying in cottages. It just seems a little pointless to fly half way around the world when there are so many great places to see in The Ings .

Getting away from the boring day to day life at home can be fantastic for families or friends alike. We already have enough rules and timetables in our lives, and a cottage holiday provides total freedom.

Say goodbye to the structure of fixed meal times, the frustrations of noisy room-mates that you don't know and irritating staff!
