Welcome To Our Selection of Holiday Cottages

To make the best of your trip in UK, we recommend you bring some essential items. Rainproof clothing and a light umbrella should be the first things to pack. The rain only comes when you are not prepared.

We think a good book is another essential. Not just an opportunity to catch up on your reading, but also to pass the time waiting for everyone else to get themselves ready, or wait out the rain! Lastly we think turning up with a few things to eat and drink is a good start to your holiday - there's nothing worse than grumpy kids or friends when its time to unpack, and a little chocolate or a cup of coffee can work wonders. We're often asked which is the best place to stay, and it's so hard to answer, it really depends what you are looking for.

Escape To UK

In UK, high season tends to match the summer school holidays, with mid-season a month either side. Mid-July til the end of August are the core weeks for the UK school summer holidays.

The private and state schools tend to have differing half-term dates, but normally the first half of June is summer half-term. Booking early is always a good idea. You have a much better chance of getting your preferred date and accommodation. But, that doesn't mean its impossible to get a late booking.

Many cottage owners have signed themselves up with national agencies to help with the marketing and administration, which also helps keep standards to a certain level.

Cottages For Holidays

Without a doubt the cottage holiday is becoming a more popular way to spend free time. Why travel abroad when there are so many great places to discover at home, staying in a holiday cottage in UK.

Escaping the inevitably dull (or stressful) daily treadmill is important for everyone. Hotels and B&Bs are great, but they still have long lists of rules that can take the fun out of a holiday.

Say goodbye to the structure of fixed meal times, the frustrations of noisy room-mates that you don't know and irritating staff!
